  • Ceramics is a class that we do nothing but 3-D clay projects.  We discuss some of the different qualities of clay and the different hand building techniques the first day and then we start creating right away!  Students learn the basic hand building techniques of slab, coil, pinch and torn slab before they continue with the more complicated projects and build off of those techniques.  During the year there will be many projects that are dealing with the ideas of functionality and aesthetic work.
